Sandy

Since 1996, Sandy McIlree has been the heartbeat of mornings in Austin as one half of the legendary JB and Sandy Morning Show. A true guy's guy with a huge heart, Sandy is deeply patriotic, a devoted family man, and—above all—a proud Girl Dad. A military brat who moved around growing up, Sandy graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and landed his first radio gig back in 1989. He’s called Austin home since the mid-90s, bringing his honest, relatable style to the airwaves ever since. Over nearly three decades, The JB and Sandy Morning Show has earned major accolades, including being named “Best Radio Show” five times by the Austin Chronicle and “Best Morning Show” by Austin Monthly. But Sandy’s proudest legacy is “JB and Sandy’s Bikes for Kids”—a community initiative that has delivered over 20,000 brand-new bikes, helmets, and locks to deserving Central Texas children, spreading joy and opportunity one pedal at a time. Off the air, you’ll find Sandy outdoors: hunting, fishing, hitting the golf course, or perfecting his pitmaster skills on the smoker. He’s been happily married to Tricia since 2008 and is dad to Landry (born 2009), who keeps life full of laughter and adventure. What do fans love most? The guy you hear on the radio—funny, straightforward, big-hearted—is the same one you’ll meet in person. No filter, no pretense—just Sandy being Sandy.

Tricia

Tricia grew up in Austin, Texas, and is a proud graduate of Austin High School and Texas State University. She spent most of her childhood on her grandparents’ ranch riding horses, learning to fix fences, and spending time with family. These experiences shaped her grounded, no-nonsense personality and deep Texas roots. Tricia has been on the air since 2018 and is very excited to join the legendary JB & Sandy Show. She is known for her straightforward opinions, quick wit, and fearless honesty. As a proud voice for women with a "guy's girl" edge, her takes often surprise and delight listeners. She also happens to be married to Sandy which creates unique and sometimes hilarious on-air situations. Off-air, she loves interior design, travel, girls' nights, workouts, and all things food! She also loves being mom to hers and Sandy’s teenage daughter, Landry. Tricia delivers authentic Austin charm while making listeners feel like they're chatting with a fun, down-to-earth friend.
