Then you may want to become a Texas Master Naturalist.

Texas Master Naturalist is a state wide volunteer organization that works with State and National Parks, Wildlife Refuges, City Parks, Schools, and other organizations that need help with educational activities, protecting, and maintaining the Natural Environment.

The Texas Master Naturalist Mission is: to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities in the State of Texas.

South Texas Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist Initial Training registration is now open.

You will have the opportunity to visit and learn about 13 different nature areas in the Coastal Bend; with instruction from resident experts and local Master Naturalists. Training sessions are primarily on Saturdays, beginning August 5, 2023 and running through mid-December.
