CORPUS CHRISTI, TX -- Experience a chilling treat Thursday, July 25, as a national restaurant chain offers a special promotion to benefit Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital.
For the 14th annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more from every Blizzard sold at participating Dairy Queen locations in the Coastal Bend and Rio Grande Valley will be donated to Childrenâs Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for more than 150 childrenâs hospitals across the United States, including Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital. All funds stay in local communities.
âThe Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day has become one of the most popular days of the year for all the participating area Dairy Queens that support Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital,â said Richard Harris, Childrenâs Miracle Network Administrator for Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital. âThat makes it OK to go off your diet on July 25 and have a Blizzard to help the sick and injured children who receive care from Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital. Itâs all for the kids.â
Last year, more than $5 million was raised by Dairy Queen across the U.S. and Canada for local CMN Hospitals. Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $115 million for CMN Hospitals through fundraising efforts such as Miracle Treat Day and the Miracle Balloon campaign.
