Bamas Blog: 1969 Dodge Charger is one of the most beautiful cars

1969 Dodge Charger is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. They are known as the coke bottle bodies because of their shape. First out in 68, then a different grille and taillights for 69 and then into 1970 with the same design. Many people never knew the base engine was the slant 6 cylinder 225 cubic inch engine. They actually built about 500 of those. The total number produced in 1969 was 89,000….about 5000 less than in 68. The engine I would want, of course, is the 440 cubic inch 375 horsepower version. I owned a 68 with a 383 and 4 speed B5 Blue one. That was one of my favorite cars. I wish I had it now. Magnum wheels looked like they were made for this car. It drove good, rode good and overall, was a great looking car. Power to spare as well. The most famous one was the TV show “Dukes Of Hazard “ car with 01 on the door. Known as the “General Lee”. (try and do that in this day and age) There were rumors that they actually destroyed over 1500 Chargers during the time they filmed that show. Breaks my heart.
