Bama's Blog: Our family is celebrating something big today!

Some days are good…some days are bad…and some days are great. This one of those great ones. My daughter, Alex, has been living with us for a year now. She went to Ole Miss out of high school and then came back to Texas to attend Baylor Law School. Since high school, during summers and all through college, she worked at a local law office. She has always wanted to be an lawyer. She moved back in a year ago after graduating and started studying for the bar. It was really hard and she failed the first time, along with a huge number of other kids. The second time, she was working sixty hours a week at the law firm and didn’t get to study as much. Second failure. This time, she studied and didn’t lose focus and passed today. She never gave up. She knows nothing is easy. She killed it this time. She also found out she had missed the first couple of times by just a few of points. The lesson learned…focus and never give up…never. To say I am proud would be the understatement of all time. But I found out by accident, while she was at Baylor, she did a will for a soldier at Ft.Hood who was being deployed back to the Middle East and couldn’t afford the cost. Never said a word about it to her mom and me. Just did it. And that makes me even more proud.
