LeAnn Rimes teamed up with surprise guest Ashley Monroe during a performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rimes stirred anticipation for a surprise guest when she performed on the iconic stage over the weekend. She shared a hint on her Instagram story before the show, teasing viewers with a glimpse of Monroe’s signature curly hair. Together, the two singer-songwriters teamed up on a rendition of “Hard Candy Christmas.” Dolly Parton released the ballad, written by Carol Hall, in the early 1980s.
Monroe — who released her latest album, Tennessee Lightning, over the summer — shared a clip of her performance with Rimes on Instagram on Sunday (December 14). She wrote in her caption, “to say singing with LeAnn Rimes at The Ryman was a dream come true, would be the understatement of a lifetime.” Monroe went on to than the history-making Grammy winner “for having me and for helping shaping my little world before we ever met. You’re the coolest,” she said.
