C'mon Get Happy: Cruise Ship & Passengers Turn Trip into Humanitarian Trip

A cruise liner full of passengers and crew members changed their planned vacation so they could help victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. The ship, the Celebrity Equinox left Fort Lauderdale, and was supposed to go to the Bahamas, and then the hurricane headed their way. Instead of returning to Florida and canceling the rest of the cruise, the crew AND PASSENGERS worked together to pack meals and prepare to be disaster relief for the victims of Hurricane Dorian.

The folks onboard ended up making and serving 10,000 sandwiches and handed out thousands of bottles of water to the victims. Several of the other cruise ships in the area have also helped--picking up victims of the hurricane, and helping with first aid and food and transportation. Incredible.
