C'mon Get Happy: 6 Year Old Collects 100 Jars of PB&J for Hungry Classmate!

A six-year-old in Daytona Beach named Eva Chapman recently found out one of her classmates wasn't getting enough to eat at home.

As in most towns her school has free hot lunches for kids who can't pay. But she was worried they'd go hungry over summer break.

So back in April, she told her mom she wanted to have a food drive, and collect jars of peanut butter and jelly for them. Because it's one of her favorite things to eat. And in less than two months, she's already collected over a THOUSAND jars from people as far away as Canada.

Now it's inspiring other people to do good. Eva's principal says parents, students, and other schools in the area have started their own summer food drives, all because of her story. So far, Eva has donated PB&J to NINE schools, including her own!
