Some very kind police officers went above and beyond the call of duty last week when they helped an elderly couple with a medical emergency. Once the patient at the home was treated, the police realized this family's wheelchair ramp was in terrible disrepair, and the couple obviously could not get it fixed.
The officers, from the Sunnyvale, California Department of Public Safety went and bought the necessary supplies, and then came back to the home to repair the wheelchair ramp.
The awesome thing is--the officers involved did not tell anyone about what they had done--they did not do it for any sort of recognition--just because they saw a need and wanted to take care of it. It is a good example of how officers go above and beyond the call of duty, time and time again, with no expectation of fanfare...wow.
