Vincent Mitchell of Charlotte, North Carolina, wanted to do something nice for local teachers, so he convinced a florist to donate a bunch of flowers -- and then delivered those flowers to each and every teacher in his district. He works regularly with ProFlowers, with his own business, and got ProFlowers to donate thousands of flowers to his cause.
He wanted every educator to smile, and know someone cares. He spent the better part of two days making sure almost 2,000 boxes of flowers made their way into every school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools system — for every CMS teacher.
And, we're not talking about a few flowers here and there. He received -- and distributed -- nearly 2,000 boxes of flowers, with 30 to 40 bouquets in each box. A total of 800,000 flowers. He had enough flowers that he also went to the local VA hospital and nearby Gaston County school district to deliver flowers to teachers there, too.
Vincent has enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of hundreds of teachers over the past week.
