It’s been 45 days since the shooting in Las Vegas. Jason Aldean was onstage when it all began. He talks about what he remembers from that night. He thought the rapid gunfire he was hearing was stage hands trying to fix a blown sound system.
He recalled in a Today Show interview, "When it first happened, I thought a speaker had blown. It sounded like crackling. And so, I’m looking around trying to figure out what it is. The gunfire lasted longer the second time. I got kind of aggravated and looked to the side of the stage, and I was like, ‘What is that? And fix it.’”
Seconds later, the stage was cleared and fans scattered. Aldean suspended his tour for nearly two weeks.
