Some of country music’s most beloved singer-songwriters embraced the holiday season with new Christmas music in 2024, including original music and covers of unforgettable classics.

Dan + Shay, for example, surprised fans when they delivered a whopping 21-track double album (after about a decade of fans asking for a festive project from the duo). Gabby Barrett sought input from her social media followers when she compiled the track list of her first-ever Christmas album, Carols and Candlelight. it was Barrett’s second album to release in 2024, following her sophomore album, Chapter & Verse.

Megan Moroney, whose signature color in her Am I Okay? era is blue, titled her 3-track EP Blue Christmas…duh. Walker Hayes previously put a fresh spin on his smash-hit “Fancy Like” with “Fancy Like Christmas,” which he included on his 5-track Christmas EP this year. Little Big Town marked 25 years as a band by debuting their first-ever Christmas album, “Mr. Christmas” star Brett Eldredge released more Christmas music (including another duet with Kelly Clarkson), Chapel Hart got into the holiday spirit with Hartfelt Family Christmas and more. The new holiday music in 2024 adds to a lengthy list of music released by country stars in previous years, including Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Kacey Musgraves and many more.
