C'mon Get Happy: Your Cat Looks Familiar!

Brian and Cathleen were born two months apart in separate Bay Area towns, and it is kind of amazing they had not met sooner. Both Brian and Cathleen lived in Fairfax, San Rafael, and Petaluma. They are super close in age, so they went to the same shows, concerts, movies, etcetera.

In July of 2014, Cathleen adopted a kitten from Petaluma Animal Services. Right around the same time, Brian adopted a kitten from Petaluma Animal Services. They still had not met. In April of 2015 they met on Tinder. She was kind of ambivalent about the whole thing, but decided to go out with Brian. They finally went out to dinner, and it was a good night. After dinner, they went to Brian's house, and out of the corner of Cathleen's eye, she saw a cat. She said to him: "That's my cat. You have my cat!" Brian assured her that it was *HIS* cat--not her cat. Cathleen invited Brian to come over the next day to see her cat--to make her point. The similarities were mind-blowing enough that they dug out their adoption papers. It turns out, their cats were BROTHERS!!! The cats, named Ozzie and Butter, were reunited. The story is even more interesting because when Cathleen and her daughter adopted Ozzie, he used to cry at night. Cathleen's daughter said it was because he missed his brother. Cathleen called the animal shelter to see if they could adopt the brother kitten, when they were told the other kitten had been adopted.

After the serendipitous meeting on Tinder and happy date and cat meeting--Brian and Cathleen, their kids, Ozzie, and Butter are all moving in together. The kittens will be reunited!!
