Visiting my parents in Florida, I found a lot of odd things in drawers. One of the things I found was an old high school progress report. It had amusing commentary from my teachers. Two of them said very nice things. One of them was a little less positive. It was funny. Mr. Hostetter was tough and fair, and I was not very impressive in AP History. I think he thought me flighty and silly. Which I was in his class.
It was fun and delightful to think back to those days. I loved my high school. It was a Christian boarding school: the Stony Brook School—a wonderful place to be in my adolescence. The teachers were loving and challenged me intellectually. Loved it!
