I spent the afternoon in Johnson City, Texas yesterday. I met a car buddy over there, which is about 20 minutes from my town of Dripping Springs. We had lunch at Pecan Brew Pub which was really good and really busy. There was a small wait after noon but I was there by 11:30. They are closed on Tues and Weds because they can't enough staff. This town is small but I just love it. It's old and the view from our table was the Blanco County courthouse. They light it up with Christmas lights every year and have old buggy rides around the streets which they light up. They also light up the trees at Pedernales Electric office there which is beautiful. And, of course, it's the home of President Johnson and his boyhood home is there and a tourist attraction. Antique shops and neat places to visit and great food. Can't lose.
