A.J. Foyt Still A Hero

Growing up, I had a bunch of people who were my heroes. Ball players, soldiers, etc. But one of the ones that still is my hero and still stands out is A.J. Foyt. His cars were always fast and were always prepared and competitive. He "hung it out" in every race and won in nearly every type of racing he did. Indy cars, Stock cars, Sprints and on and on. My dad always liked that his cars said "Built In Texas By Texans" on the side somewhere. He was at Indy this past weekend and the great driver Tony Stewart said what an honor it was for him when A.J. invited him to sit in his pit box with him. That's when you are a real hero...when even other heroes know what a big deal you are.
