Model A Fords Are The Most Fun

I always have people ask me what car was the most fun. Not which one do I miss or which was the fastest (which I have gotten both questions a lot) but which one was just fun to drive. And that is an easy answer. A 1930 bone stock Model A Ford coupe. I had a friend who lived in Minnesota and he knew an old man who had a collection of As'. He passed and his family was selling them and that is how I was able to get it. There was another old man who lived up there who rebuilt Model A engines and he had done this one. It ran better than new. So that part under the hood was great. The rest of the car was unrestored and had all the original patina...was an original black car. This car would crank and run like a top every single time and in any weather. I would crank it up, drive it down the little country road in my small town of Dripping Springs, Texas and over to the cafe. People loved that car. It was just a great car to cruise down the road clicking along and top speed was close to 35. It was slow to stop too because it had mechanical brakes so you had to plan a little bit ahead. And it probably qualifies as my most missed car too.
