Car shows are back and they are happening everywhere. I did my first Cars and Coffee yesterday in Dripping Springs. One of the things I have noticed is the diversity of the different cars and trucks now. I think a lot of people, like myself, still have an appreciation for the same type of cars we see at all the shows...Camaros, Chevelles, Mustangs etc. But what is awesome now is seeing a lot of what I would call "Oddball" makes and models. The creative nature of that hobby is what has driven it in the past but this is a new kind of creative. You have to really want to do something different because parts are hard to get for unpopular cars and rare cars. And now trucks are as hot as ever. It was a nice turnout...about 120 cars. Gonna be a great summer for all the shows. Take your kids and show them what can be done with rolling art. They can learn about how to build and restore the cars are a big part of the history of this country. You might find some connection with your kid.
