I had Moderna shot #2 yesterday (along with my annual mammogram—it was a very exciting day!) and the vaccine packed a wallop for me. I didn’t expect it either. Everyone I know has had no side effects beyond a sore arm. This morning I woke up with dry, scratchy eyes and aches and pains (similar to the flu) and it just hung on most of the day. Bob Pickett kept telling me to drink lots of water—that was the key—so I have been.
I napped for most of the afternoon. I was awakened by what I thought was crazy people running around in my attic. I got kind of (unfairly) annoyed with my husband that he’d had people running around right over my head when I was trying to nap. Apparently the crazy attic cloggers were actually golf ball sized hail hitting the roof!! I did not get to see it. I just heard it and heard about it later.
That reminds me—I got the notice that I no longer owe anything on my car—so OF COURSE there would be golf ball sized hail plunking off the roof onto my fully owned automobile!! Gah!
Anyhoo—I’m guessing the shot side effects will be gone be tomorrow. Here’s hoping...
