Corvette

Corvettes have always been one of my favorite cars. I had a 69 big block 4 speed that was just hell on wheels. I owned a 76 White one that was not fast but a nice cruiser. I love the new 2020 one. Man, is that a beautiful car or what? About 5 or 6 years ago I help restore a 1955 Corvette...third year they were manufactured and the first year for the V8. It belongs to a retired military buddy of mine and he has owned it since the 60's. Bought it when he was at Fort Hood for $500. and drove it home. It has sat in his garage for many years and we got it out and a group of us help restore it. I did all the fiberglass and body work on it. Probably have 200 hours total in it. I sat in it one time and I could see over the windshield....very uncomfortable. It was a pale Yellow car with Green interior. Only about 50 out of 700 were this way. The value today on the car is somewhere around 150 grand. He still drives it some and when I see it I think about the time I put in to get it right. I would still take 2020 though.
