Half Vaccinated—Twice as Social!

Finally, I have the first shot of the two-part vaccine. It is pretty exciting—for my husband and I have not been able to go anywhere since the pandemic began. If I am being honest, we have not done anything but gotten take-out and various deliveries for the sake of my mother-in-law.
This past week, that changed. Chris and I both got the first part of the two-part vaccines. (Before you all write and tell me that we are not yet protected—I know that—I am just talking about moving forward here).

We tried a new taco place in Round Rock, Luna’s Tacos—it’s on 620 across from RRHS and it is fantastic! Click here for the menu.

Today, I met my friend (who is vaccinated) for lunch, in an actual restaurant with other people. Oh my goodness—I had forgotten what that was like: the smells of the food, hearing other people having a nice visit—it was wonderful.
Bonus—I went to my second new restaurant in a week! It was the Oakmont over at 38th and Lamar where Doc’s used to be. It’s beautiful. They opened up the doors—it was sunny and getting up close to 80, the food was terrific, the company better—I was filled with such joy, I almost cried. You forget the loveliness of a nice meal out with a friend until you can’t do it for a year. I also recommend trying this place. Yum! Click here for the menu.
Get the shots—go out and see your friends. You’ll be amazed how good it feels!
