This Pharmacist was a Superhero for His Community!

This story warmed my heart. A pharmacist in Pennsylvania, Dr. Mayank Amin, who had left the field--to be an event planner--heard his small town's pharmacy had shut down amidst the pandemic, and he flew into action. Literally. He reopened a pharmacy in his town, sent his pregnant wife off to live with family members in another state (for safety's sake), and fully devoted himself to vaccinating his community! It is very touching how he devoted himself to delivering and administering vaccines as many hours as he could each day--many days working into the wee hours. The story is, on New Year's Eve, he had a final vaccine to deliver, for a child, so he decided to put on a Superman costume. The little boy answered the door--and to this day thinks Superman gave him his shot!! On Super Bowl Sunday his pharmacy received some 1200 vaccines, so he got some volunteers together and got as many recipients as he could lined up, despite the snow--it was Pennsylvania in February--and administered ALL the shots!!
