At age 10, Girl Scout Natalia Kleinrichert of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has made it her mission to help the homeless in any way she can.
When her birthday and Christmas roll around, she prefers not to receive gifts -- and instead asks friends and family to bring supplies for the less fortunate.
And while selling Girl Scout Cookies this year, she made the most of it by asking her customers if they’d like to buy an extra box so she could donate it to a local shelter.
When she began, she set a goal of 40 boxes. She ended up exceeding that goal -- and donating 155 boxes to The Rescue Mission.
Natalia’s mom, Amy, is very proud and is impressed that Natalia has been doing all this on her own, looking for ways to help others since she was three years old.
And, Natalia shows no signs of slowing down. She’ll continue to raise money and help those in need throughout the year -- including Girl Scout Cookie season.
