Girl Scouts in Colorado made a lot of Veterans and their families smile yesterday when they delivered 12,000 boxes of cookies to the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora. One of the girl scouts said that they wanted to give back to the veterans who protect and serve us.
A trailer carrying all of the cookie arrived outside the medical center and the Girl Scouts split up into groups to distribute as many cookies as they could to patients, staff, and family members in different wings of the VA.
The hospital will store the rest of the cookies so the veterans can enjoy them all year long. All the cookies were donated back to the scouts by people who were buying cookies for themselves. Watch the video--it is great.
