Andrew Olson is a captain in the Army National Guard. He is also the father of two, and a high school basketball and football coach. He was recently deployed to Afghanistan for several months. A big group of teenage boys that he coaches were in a classroom, having been told they would be having a guest speaker. When Olson walks in the door, the young men's ENTHUSIASTIC response is a beautiful thing. The young men rush to hug their coach and pretty much pile onto him. The kids all come from Northridge High School in Layton, Utah. Olson's wife says his being a teacher, coach, and in the military shows his dedication to serving others.
One of the teens jumped into his arms. Another jumped clear over the table he was sitting at to get to him.
The feeling was mutual. Coach Olson loves these guys like they are family. Share the video with anyone who needs to smile.
