C'mon Get Happy: NFL Player Does 418 Pull-Ups for Charity!

In the world of football, kickers and punCLICKters are notorious for being smaller and weaker than many other players on the team. They use their kicking skills, which means they don’t often make physical contact with any opposing players during games.

Despite not being called upon to tackle other players, New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead  spends a lot of time maintaining his physical strength -- and recently put that strength to good use in a campaign to raise money for charity.

During a fundraiser, Thomas did a whopping 418 pull-ups in an hour to help raise money and awareness for a school fund for the children of former team employee Chris Cordaro, who is battling a serious disease.

At the end of the session, Thomas still had the strength to help Chris up onto the bar and help him knock out some pull-ups of his own.

The feat of strength helped Thomas raise about $70,000 for his friend, with a day of fundraising still to go.
