In Scotland, the owners of 361 Golden Retrievers got together at an estate to celebrate the dog breed’s 150th birthday at the breed's ancestral home in the Scottish Highlands.
The breed was created in the 1800s by landowner Dudley Marjoribanks, also known as Lord Tweedmouth. Lord Tweedmouth had wanted a dog that was capable of swimming significant distances to retrieve wildfowl.
So to celebrate, a call was made to gather as many of the beautiful dogs together as possible. A whopping 361 happy dogs showed up to frolic and goof off in the yard -- a grand party that we might have to wait a good number of years to see again.
