C'mon Get Happy: It's Never Too Late! Meet an 82 yr old Coder!

A woman named Masako Wakamiya learned to code a little over a year ago, and released a successful iPhone game called Hinadan.  And here's the kicker . . . she's 82 YEARS OLD.

Masako took care of her aging mother and felt very lonely and isolated--so she got a computer. She learned, honed her computer skills, and moved on to a Mac and iPhone. She noticed there were very few apps for older folks, so she learned Apple's coding language (at 80!!) and developed an app.

Her game is intended for older people who are interested in traditional Japanese culture.  It's basically a memorization game where you dress up little ornamental dolls, and have to put them in the right spot.

It is a free app that has been rated 5-star, and over 50,000 people have downloaded it in the past year.

Masako recently did an interview where she talked about how learning new things is so important as you get older.

She was introduced by Apple CEO Tim Cook as the oldest coder Apple has ever had!!

And she says she has some more app ideas in the works.
