A seven-year-old British girl recently had her dream birthday party -- and it was all because of an adorable letter she wrote to Ikea.
With her birthday fast approaching, Jessica Proctor told her mom that she wanted to celebrate it at her favorite Swedish furniture store.
Jessica loves Ikea. Her mother Charlotte says, "I think it's the little rooms. She just loves going and playing in them. Every time we go around it's a bit of a battle to get her out. She was adamant she wanted her party at Ikea. She wasn't taking no for an answer. So I told her if she really wanted it she was going to have to write to them."
So that's exactly what she did. Jessica wrote, "Dear Ikea. Your shop is my favorite shop in the whole wide world. I will be turning seven on the 17th of March. If you do birthday parties, please may I have one there in your Sheffield shop?" She signed it, "Lots of love, Jessie Daisy Proctor."
A few weeks later, a representative from the store responded and told her that although it's not something they typically do, they wanted to give her a very special birthday.
So on her big day, Jessica and five friends were invited to the store where they got to play in the children's ball pit, eat Swedish meatballs, and just hang out in the store. Charlotte said, "They were so good. It was really special; it was just lovely."
