C'mon Get Happy: Musician Makes Free High Chairs!

In Serbia, 47-year-old Milorad Jurkovic is well known in his community for his ability to play the harmonica. He travels from town to town with his band, playing at events and celebrations.

But even when he returns home late from a gig, he still gets up early in the morning to spend at least some time on another job -- building wooden high chairs for needy children.

Over the past two-and-a-half years, Milorad has been able to make and donate 1,200 high chairs for babies all over the country -- free of charge.

Along with the highchairs, he has also made a number of wooden beds -- and taken part in campaigns to raise money for families in need and for children with disabilities.

And he’s turned this charity project into a family affair, spending time with his 17-year-old son in the workshop and his 14-year-old daughter as she decorates the chairs.

Thanks to the hard work and thoughtfulness of this man -- and his family -- the lives of hundreds of families will continue to be improved each year.
