Heather Witt knows how cold the winter weather can get in Wisconsin, which is why she organized a group called Operation Scarf to put scarfs, gloves and hats into bags -- and then leave them all around the city of Milwaukee for anyone who might need them.
The group has been tying the bags to trees with yarn in Milwaukee County Parks. Along with the warm clothes, the bags also feature a tag that reads, "I'm not lost. If you're stuck in the cold please take me to keep you warm!" along with personal notes such as, "You are loved."
This is the third winter that Operation Scarf has been helping others stay warm, and they have no plans of slowing down in the years to come.
