Dr. Mickey Reynolds is the principal of Lake Mary High School in Florida. Boy, were her students surprised when she performed with the step team during the school’s pep rally!! Dr. Reynolds has been a teaching professional, moving up in the ranks over the past 28 years. Most people she knew and the students had no idea she also used to coach dance teams!! So, it was a big surprise to everyone from the dancers to the students in the audience when she got in line and danced, nailing her performance.
Reynolds approached the coach of the school's Unity Revolution STEP team, with the idea of joining the team. Her idea was to just pop in and do a little of the routine. The step team coach got the principal to learn the WHOLE routine!! (Dr. Reynolds did GREAT, though she said she was getting a little old for the dancing...)
A person at the pep rally said she's never heard the kids go that crazy as they did when the principal walked out onto the court!!
The kids and other dancers LOVED it. It may have helped: the football team won and made the playoffs.
