A group of Houston-area bakers found themselves trapped in their bakery as Hurricane Harvey bore down on east Texas. So they did what bakers do: They baked.
And baked. And baked.
For two straight days, seven employees at El Bolillo Bakery baked bread as Harvey's heavy rains flooded the streets outside. By the time they were done they had baked THOUSANDS of loaves of bread--and they boxed and bagged all the bread and started delivering the bread to shelters, churches, and first responders! AMAZING!!
Flood victims in a Sugar Land neighborhood received a special delivery of hot pies they weren’t quite expecting.
Shayda Willison is the manager of a Pizza Hut in Sugar Land. When she heard about people in the area being trapped in their homes and running out of food, she gathered a crew and began cooking pizzas as quickly as they could.
