Lou Ferrigno hasn't played The Incredible Hulk in more than 25 years. But, at the FanBoy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee over the weekend, he saved a young man who had a seizure.
Fred McAlister and his son Ted were waiting to meet Ferrigno at his signing booth when Ted suddenly suffered a seizure. Besides being a bodybuilder and an actor, Ferrigno is a reserve deputy with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. He is also a volunteer on a search and rescue team. He knew exactly what to do. He held on to Ted to make sure he didn't collapse and then helped him to a chair. He cleared his booth and called for medics.
After a visit with EMT workers, Ted was given the all-clear and invited back to Ferrigno's booth to take a picture with the gentle giant. Phew!
