A firefighter in Washington named Dean McAuley got something in the mail last month that he wasn't expecting--his wallet he lost 13 years ago!! His wife called him and said he had gotten a package in the mail, and it was an old wallet. He says it's been so long that he doesn't actually remember losing it anymore. But it still had his license, all of his credit cards, and $11 in cash inside. The person who found it included a note, but they did not sign it. The note said they had found the wallet outside a Mexican restaurant years ago, made a few attempts to find him. They said they gave up after a while--and stuck the wallet into a drawer. The person says they recently found the wallet again and tried looking up Dean. Lo and behold, they found an address for him and sent him the wallet. Dean says he'd love to track them down to say thanks. And it was a great example for his 4-year-old son about doing the right thing, and always trying to look out for other people.
