C'mon Get Happy: Chevron Makes a Memorial

Along a Chevron property fenceline in California, a makeshift memorial was placed and maintained for more than 13 years. No one knew who was maintaining the memorial. Chevron wanted to expand, so it posted a note, asking the person who was maintaining the memorial to come forward. Apparently, A young man named Ray had been killed nearby by a drunk driver, and his father, Ray Olson had been maintaining a memorial. Ray Senior had been going out in the middle of the night to place flowers and memorabilia at the site...

He revealed himself to Chevron. Instead of telling him to cut it out on their property, Chevron decided to make a permanent memorial to young Ray, right next to a park bench, so his father could continue to commemorate him. It is a lovely story!
