Miranda Lambert will become the first artist ever to headline a soon-to-open venue in Nashville, Tennessee.
The most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history will perform at the new Nashville live music venue, The Truth, on its opening night on October 1. The 4,400-capacity site is located in Music City’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. “Miranda Lambert: One Night Only” takes place one day before the singer-songwriter delivers her new country-disco record, Crisco. Lambert, along with a featured a 12-piece string section, will perform some of the tracks from her upcoming album in addition to career-spanning hits.
“It was magical to hear the way strings can transform a song when we were in the studio creating this record, and I can’t wait to bring that to life in an even bigger way with our full setlist,” Lambert said in a statement on Tuesday (August 18). “We’ve never gotten to play that way on stage, and to have the opportunity to do it for the first time at the opening of a beautiful new venue right here in Nashville is going to be really special.”
Crisco is described as “a vibrant and joyful collection inspired in part by the long-overlooked connection between country music’s dance hall tradition and the energy of disco,” states a press release announcing Lambert’s “One Night Only” performance. So far, Lambert has released the title track, “Till The Going’s Gone,” “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton, and “Sunset Marquis” from the 12-track project.

“I've always loved every corner of country music,” Lambert previously said in a statement. “The heartbreak songs, the honky-tonk songs, the songs that make you think and the songs that make you dance. Making this record reminded me that those things don’t have to be separated. We followed the songs wherever they wanted to go, trusted our instincts and ended up with something that feels really fun and really honest to who I am.”
Crisco will release on October 2.
“Miranda Lambert: One Night Only” tickets will be available to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. CT on Friday (August 21).
