Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, shared a heartfelt moment with a stage 4 cancer patient whose dying wish was to meet, have dinner with and attend a concert performed by the “Son Of A Sinner” star.
The James Bess Foundation, a nonprofit organization that grants final dreams for adults between the ages of 21 and 65 battling a terminal illness, shared a video of Suzanne Durham on TikTok earlier this month.
Durham, 65, is a former Nashville house manager for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. She shared that she has stag 4 small cell carcinoma, and that doctors told her the cancer was “untreatable, and I’m just having a really hard time.” The doctor gave her less than five months to live, according to the nonprofit organization when Durham shared her story on TikTok on July 8.
The next day, Bunnie Xo commented on the James Bess Foundation’s TikTok: “We can def make this happen. What city is she in?” The foundation replied that Durham is in Nashville and that they’d love for Bunnie Xo to join her husband when he meets Durham.
The James Bess Foundation shared a follow-up video on TikTok on Wednesday (July 19), showing the heartwarming moment Jelly Roll and his wife “came out to fulfill the dying wish of a community angel and hero who has dedicated her life to helping others recover from addiction! We are extremely grateful for both Jelly Roll and Bunnie for their time and loving hearts!”
That video posted to TikTok shows Jelly Roll greeting Durham, and bringing a concert to her, including singing a cover of the Eagles’ “Take It Easy.” Watch it here:
