More than a thousand new laws will soon take effect in Texas. Of the 3,308 bills that passed both the House and Senate, Governor Greg Abbott signed 1,034, and allowed 105 more to become law without his signature. Abbott also vetoed 20, the fewest during his tenure. Abbott on Tuesday called for a special session, which is scheduled to start on July 8th.
