Texas Supreme Court Rules Against GOP Appeal On Convention

The Texas Supreme Court has rejected the Republican Party of Texas's appeal to be able to hold an in-person convention in Houston.

The plan was to gather at a convention center in Houston this week, but the contract was canceled last week.

The party asked the State Supreme Court to step in, but today, they denied their motion for relief. The court wrote that the Party has constitutional rights to engage in electoral activities, but those rights do not allow it to simply commandeer use of the Center.
