Brett Eldredge To Sing At 2019 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

Brett Eldredge will help ring in the holiday season with a performance at the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony in December.

The country star will likely perform songs from his 2016 Christmas album, Glow, which features holiday classics like "Silver Bells," "A Holly Jolly Christmas," and "Do You Hear What I Hear." Eldredge, who's been a big fan of Christmas since he was a kid, loves the season so much that he's planning a Christmas tour, the "Glow Live Tour."

"Since I was a kid, I've had the Christmas music spirit running heavily through my veins," Eldredge says. "It's my favorite thing in the world. Now taking my own Christmas tour out on the road at this huge level is a dream."

Christmas in Rockefeller Center will feature performances from a variety of other stars followed by the traditional lighting of the tree. John Legend, Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Chicago, Ne-Yo, Gwen Stefani, Straight No Chaser, Derek and Julianne Hough and more are also expected to make appearances, in addition to the iconic Radio City Rockettes.

The 2019 tree, a Norway spruce, will stand at 77 feet tall and be 46 feet in width, weighing 12 tons. Following Christmas the lumber will be donated to Habitat for Humanity where it can be used to build homes.

This year marks the 87th official year of the the Rockefeller tree lighting. NBC's Today anchors, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin will also join in the celebration as hosts for the evening.

NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center will air on December 4 at 8 p.m.
