The crash that changed NASCAR: Bobby Allison at Talladega 1987


Bobby Allison had a major wreck on lap 22, going 200 miles per hour. Debris from the crash sheared off several feet of the fence in front of the finish line. Five spectators were injured as a result of Allison's crash. It caused NASCAR to require restrictor plates be place on the carburetors all cars.
