As many people are finding out, rental car rates are thru the roof right now. Reported to be as high as 300% over the normal rate in some of the more popular areas. Many people have already booked their cars way in advance and supply and demand kicks in in a big way. We had a listener call in this morning and said he checked with one and was told a 4 day rental would be $1700.!!!! The problem started last year during Covid when they had no one renting. They had to sell off most of the fleets to pay the bills so there is a limited supply. But $1700 smakers..that ain't right!
