Crazy story this morning in the Statesman. Over 1400 houses in the Austin area have sold for more than their asking price... many at a $100,000 over the asking price. And over 70 something were as much as $300,000 over the asking price. It is pure madness now trying to buy a home in this area. You put in a bid and hope you can get one. When I was younger, you simply met a realtor and looked at a few houses and finally picked the one you liked. Then you sat and waited if you got the loan. And a even bigger question..when you sell your home here...where are you moving to? Has to be out of the area. The world has gone mad.
