LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say they have seized dozens of slot machines and tens of thousands of dollars in cash from Koreatown homes that were hosting gambling operations.

LAPD Lt. Mike Oppelt said Tuesday that seven private homes and duplexes in a four-square-block area near Olympic Boulevard and

Normandie Avenue
in Koreatown were raided.

Oppelt says the homes were functioning as casinos from mid-morning until late at night, bringing noise and parking complaints from neighbors.

Oppelt says some of the homes had gaming tables too, but most of the gambling involved slot machines.

Police say 35 slot machines were seized and 10 people were cited for owning them. Police also seized $36,000 in cash.
