The American flags on the Moon are all white and still standing, except for the first one.

Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had planted their flag too close to the lunar module, and when it lifted off it blew the flag over.

But photos from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter showed the rest of them are still standing. However, experts say the flags are bleached completely white buy now.

If you leave a flag on earth out in the sun for more than 40 years, it will fade, and on the Moon, the solar radiation is even more harsh.

A New Jersey company made those nylon flags for 5 and a half dollars each in 1969.
