As most Americans come home from the war in Afghanistan, an Army soldier remains a captive of the Taliban.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been held by the Taliban since 2009. He was last seen in a video as recently as last month.

A retired Marine in San Diego has joined a campaign for his release. Billboards and a website are urging people to call Congress to make sure the 27 year old from Idaho is not forgotten.

That effort has now mushroomed to seven different cities across the country urging people to call Congress to ensure Bergdahl isn't forgotten.

"With the billboards, we want Bergdahl to be a household name," Crissy Marsaglia told News 10 San Diego.

A website, also offers t-shirts and POW bracelets to raise money for the campaign.
